Wreath Laying at the African American Civil War Memorial

May 31 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

For the 4th consecutive year, Washington Assembly #151 will lay a wreath at the African American Civil War Memorial. Over 200,000 African American soldiers and sailors served in the US Army and the Navy during the Civil war.  Their service helped to end the war and free over four million slaves.  The African American Civil War Memorial honors their service and sacrifice.  The memorial is located just outside of the entrance to the U St/African-American Memorial/Cardozo,  Yellow/Green Metro Line, at 1925 Vermont Ave. N.W.  This is an outdoor ceremony.  All are strongly encouraged to join us.
